This issue contains three papers. The first one is entitled: Ethical Principles in Software Development: A Review from the Perspective of Islamic Ethics

This paper explores the ethical principles in software development from the perspective of Islamic ethics. The study emphasizes the importance of adhering to ethical guidelines in the field of software development, especially considering the significant impact of computer-based applications on various aspects of human life. The paper reviews literature that discusses the integration of Islamic values and principles into software engineering ethics. It surveys frameworks that define ethical aspects of software development and emphasizes the role of software engineers as the Vicegerents of Allah SWT. The framework includes principles such as communication, data collection, analysis, design, testing, and maintenance, all guided by Islamic ethical values. Additionally, the paper discusses the ethical dilemmas faced by software engineering professionals and proposes solutions based on Islamic ethics. Furthermore, it explores the ethical behavior of Muslim IT professionals and discusses Islamic code of ethics based on fundamental principles. The paper also discusses the ethical dimensions of empirical studies in software engineering, emphasizing the need for teaching ethics in computing and engineering. The research methodology employed a systematic review approach based on PRISMA guidelines, resulting in a selection of relevant articles that discussed ethical issues in software development from an Islamic ethics perspective. The findings indicate a recent focus on the topic, with articles published between 2007 and 2023. Overall, the study emphasizes the importance of incorporating Islamic ethics into software development to create an ethically sound and socially responsible profession.

The second paper is entitled: Digital Preservation in Indonesia Institutional Repositories for Future Community: A Literature Review

This study explores the trends in scientific research publications related to Indonesian repositories. In the digital era, academic libraries and repositories possess the expertise to manage digital assets, with their digital preservation programs playing a crucial role in ensuring long-term access to institutional research outputs. This study conducts a literature review to assess the status and challenges of implementing digital preservation programs in Indonesian repositories, with a focus on academic and university libraries. The research incorporates a bibliometric analysis as preliminary findings, using Scopus as the main database and the Biblioshiny application for analysis. Additionally, a custom database of open-access journals in Library and Information Science was created to support the literature review. The findings reveal a lack of sufficient data to draw firm conclusions about digital preservation practices, largely due to limited publications. The main challenges faced by repositories include technical difficulties, organizational and policy issues, and ensuring resource sustainability for future generations.

The third paper is entitled: An Introduction to Islamic Perspective in Fintech Security

This paper aims to study FinTech integrity in terms of the security of information regardless of technological advancement from an Islamic perspective. Information security issues are still questionable, especially on financial finance issues in the financial sector. The issue of information security in financial finance cases is a challenge for financial institutions. This study adopted a systematic literature review to analyze 28 studies in the field of financial technology (FinTech). Content analysis was employed to analyze the data, conduct a detailed analysis of the texts, and identify patterns and relationships between different categories. The result shows that the reliability and integrity of ICT in Fintech can be assessed through an Islamic perspective, emphasizing the importance of information security for all financial sector participants. It identifies six key elements: surveillance, confidentiality, trustworthiness, truthfulness, transparency, and accountability. The literature review indicates a gap in integrity analysis in Fintech regarding information security from an Islamic viewpoint. Modern practices are aligning with these Islamic principles, which advocate comprehensive information security measures. Islam inherently recognizes and mandates the principles of confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information and resources, underscoring their practical significance.
